World Water Day Celebration 2020

In celebration of the 2020 World Water Day with a theme: Nature and Climate Change, the Bogo Water District have facilitated its annual poster making contest and the debut of its video-making contest.
The objectives of the said activities are to discover, enhance and highlight potentials of nature-based solutions and remedies as a tool for water management awareness and policy formulation, implementation, reinforcement, and practice through art and media.
For this year, there were eighteen (18) participating schools in total, eight (8) were from High School (HS) division and ten (10) were from Elementary School (ES) division. All 18 participating entries have undergone the preliminaries last March 07, 2020, and only five (5) entries from HS and five (5) from ES have made it to the Finals.



Still, in celebration of the World Water day 2020, the Bogo Water District had debuted its very first (1st) Video Making Contest. The competition was exclusive for all Senior High Schools within the jurisdiction of the City of Bogo. The objectives of the competition are to showcase new innovative ways and to reach and raise awareness to the millennials of today to further enforce the discovery, enhancement, and highlighting potentials of nature-based solutions and remedies as a tool for water management awareness, policy formulation, implementation, reinforcement, and practice through art and media.

The winners of the video-making contest are the following:
1st place was Libertad National High School on their entry “BERTO ANG BATANG USIKAN”
2nd place was Eduardo T. Oporto Memorial National High School on their entry “PANGANDOY”
3rd place was Don Celestino Martinez Sr. Taytayan Integrated School on their entry “ANG HANDUMANAN”
4th place was Odlot National High School on their entry “PISIK”
5th place was Anonang Sur National High School on their entry “KINUTUBAN”
6th place was City of Bogo Science and Arts Academy on their entry “KASIKAS SA KAHIDLAW”
7th place was Binabag National High School on their entry “YOUTH OF TODAY”
